Quill of Hope is Changing... Well, Sort Of
I said I wasn’t going to do this again. . . but yes, I did it.
I managed to not keep up with my blog for another straight week. Well then.
Anyway. I’m going to keep this post short and sweet. During my unexpected hiatus, I’ve been thinking about how to approach the usage of this blog more carefully.
In the beginning, my dream goal for this blog was very different from what it is now. I feel like I’ve slipped into complacency--using this blog as a way to voice my thoughts, my ramblings, and my wanderings. And that’s not how I wanted it to be. I don’t want it to be focused on me. I really want to focus on serving you all, my readers, on honing my audience and what you want to hear.
So, with that said, my first step:
The Quill of Hope Content/Audience Survey
And now. . . for the most nerve-wracking part. I love making surveys, but I hate evaluating the results. I’m hoping to change that, though.
So if you could take some time out of your day to fill out this survey, that would mean a lot to me. You all’s responses could shape my path going forward with this blog, and as always, your feedback is really valuable to me.
With that said, I plan on changing a few things to this blog. I'm going to step away from so much writing advice--as after evaluating my target audience, I realized writers aren't my main audience. I also have added a mailing list page, and an exclusive short story will be available there soon! I’m also planning on sharing more snippets of my poetry and writing on my blog, depending on the survey results. :)
Thank you so much for reading this short blog post, and here’s to fresh new content in the year ahead!
:)
I filled it out for you! Really hope it helps you out. Can't wait for your next post!
