Narnia Blog Tag

I recently got tagged for my first blog tag, the Narnia Blog Tag, which I’m super excited to participate in!

The Chronicles of Narnia is actually the only fantasy series I’ve read growing up and still read now, partly because I technically don’t read fantasy. XD

Rules~

  • Thank the person who nominated you

  • Describe the rate of your Narnia fanatic (Nostalgic, Serious, and Maniacal)

  • Answer the questions below

  • Tag 5+ bloggers

  • Have fun!

Thank you to Allie Andersen over at her blog for nominating me!

Rating~

1. Nostalgic Fanatic—You read the book and/or watched the movies as a child and the word Narnia gives you a warm feeling

2. Serious Fanatic—You rediscovered the wonder of Narnia after you were older and have read the books and watched the movies

3. Maniacal Fanatic—You have lived Narnia from childhood, hid in closets on more accounts than is healthy, have read and watched all the movies including the BBC version

I’d say I’m around a nostalgic fanatic. I’ve read the books growing up but I haven’t watched the movies or done anything else, and I’m not a huge fanatic, but these are quite nostalgic to read in my spare time :)

Questions~

Who is your favorite Pevensie sibling?

During the first couple books, probably Susan. I know this isn’t the popular option, but I’m kind of similar to her, in a way. But later on in the series, I’d say Lucy.

What is the most underrated book in Narnia?

In my opinion, The Horse and His Boy. I really enjoyed that one, but I’ve rarely heard it mentioned as much as, say, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Who is your favorite Narnian king?

I feel like the “right” option would be Peter, but I feel like Edmond was more of a believable character. In my opinion, Peter was a bit too perfect (though it’s been a while since I’ve read the series).

Who is your favorite Narnian queen?

Lucy. She’s really sweet, brave, and her relationship with Aslan really made me smile at times.

Which non-human Narnian do you like best?

Aslan! C. S. Lewis wrote him so well, for some reason whenever he came into the story I felt like smiling. XD But Reepicheep is pretty close, too.

Which book deserves a movie?

The Horse and His Boy. That was probably my favorite book in the series, and even though it doesn’t deal with too much of the Pevensies, but I liked the change of scenery and the characters. :)

What is one thing you did as a Narnia fanatic you do not regret?

I actually got to go see the actual wardrobe that inspired him to write the books, so that was pretty cool.
